The Human Cannonball & Delmarva Scrapple Highlight 8/15-8/21

SALISBURY, Md. -- The Delmarva Shorebirds return home to Arthur W. Perdue Stadium for a three game series with the Charleston RiverDogs (affiliate of the New York Yankees) from Wednesday, August 15th through Friday, August 17th and a four game series with the Rome Braves (affiliate of the Atlanta Braves)

SALISBURY, Md. -- The Delmarva Shorebirds return home to Arthur W. Perdue Stadium for a three game series with the Charleston RiverDogs (affiliate of the New York Yankees) from Wednesday, August 15th through Friday, August 17th and a four game series with the Rome Braves (affiliate of the Atlanta Braves) from Saturday, August 18th through Tuesday, August 21st.
The homestand begins on Wednesday, August 15th with a Silver Slugger game, presented by Peninsula Home Care. The first 1,000 fans can play Baseball Bingo. First pitch against the Charleston RiverDogs is scheduled for 7:05 PM with gates opening at 6:00 PM.
The first 500 fans through the gates on Thursday, August 16th receive a Maryland Pride hat, presented by Spicer Bros. Construction, Inc. It's also KISS 95.9 Thirsty Thursday, presented by University Village at Salisbury. Enjoy 16 oz. cans of Miller Lite and Coors Light; as well as, Pepsi fountain drinks for $2 each. The Shorebirds will be wearing their Maryland Pride jerseys, so show your support by sporting your Maryland Pride gear, as well. Gates open at 6:00 PM with first pitch against the Charleston RiverDogs scheduled for 7:05 PM.
Make sure to stick around after the game on Friday, August 17th for a one of a kind show! David "The Bullet" Smith Jr. will be at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium to launch himself out of a cannon! This is a show you certainly won't want to miss! Friday, August 17th is KISS 95.9 Big Beer Friday. Fans over the age of 21 can enjoy 32 oz. Miller Lite & Coors Light draft beers for $6 each. Gates open at 6:00 PM with first pitch against the Charleston RiverDogs scheduled for 7:05 PM.
Gates open at 4:00 PM on Saturday, August 18th for fans to watch batting practice. Along with the opportunity to watch batting practice, happy hour discounts on beverages and snack items will be available at the Pizza Stand located on the first level concourse behind home plate. From 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, fans can purchase slices of pizza and small popcorn for $1 each. Draft beers can be purchased by fans age 21 or older for $5 each. Inflatable games will be free of charge from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, as well. Also, two Shorebirds players will be available to sign autographs in the Flock Shop from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM. First pitch against the Rome Braves is scheduled for 7:05 PM. Make sure to stick around after the game for a fantastic Q105 fireworks show, presented by Allen Harim!
The highly anticipated Delmarva Scrapple Night is on Saturday, August 18th! The Delmarva Shorebirds will play as the Delmarva Scrapple during their game against the Rome Braves. There will be a scrapple eating contest, scrapple themed games between innings, and scrapple served at the concession stands. You can purchase your Delmarva Scrapple merchandise at the Flock Shop on the second level concourse or online HERE. Scrapple is a breakfast meat that is extremely popular on the Delmarva Peninsula and in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Whether you enjoy your scrapple thin and crispy or thick and mushy, on an egg and cheese sandwich, with ketchup, grape jelly, or with maple syrup, this celebration is for you.
The Shorebirds will sport specialty scrapple jerseys and caps on Saturday, August 18th in honor of this delicious breakfast meat. The specialty scrapple jerseys will be auctioned off during the game on the second level concourse and will resemble a package of scrapple that you can find in your local grocery store. The specialty scrapple caps show a scrapple, egg, and cheese sandwich logo.
On Sunday, August 19th, the Shorebirds will hold their annual Float for the Fund promotion, presented by Georgeo's Italian Ice and Mug Root Beer. For $5, fans can enjoy unlimited root beer floats and a commemorative mug. All proceeds go to the Shorebirds' Fly Together Fund. It's the last Summer Reading Program game for participating libraries in Maryland, presented by Eastern Shore McDonald's. The last Kid's Club game is also on Sunday, August 19th, presented by Maryland EXCELS. It's also a Perdue Strike Out Hunger Sunday. Bring 2 canned food items to the Shorebirds box office and receive an upper reserved ticket for $3. All collected items will be donated to the local area food banks. Kids can run the bases after the game, presented by Chili's Grill & Bar. Gates open at 4:00 PM with first pitch against the Rome Braves scheduled for 5:05 PM.
Monday, August 20th is 47 ABC 2 Buck Monday, presented by Wicomico Heating & Air Conditioning. Fans can enjoy upper reserved tickets, hotdogs, and fountain Pepsi products for $2 each. Gates open at 6:00 PM with first pitch scheduled against the Rome Braves scheduled for 7:05 PM.
The homestand concludes with the Shorebirds' last Bark in the Park of 2018 on Tuesday, August 21st, presented by Johnson-McKee Animal Hospital. Bring your furry friend out to the ballpark so they can meet all the other canine Shorebirds fans! Gates open at 6:00 PM with first pitch against the Rome Braves scheduled for 7:05 PM.
