The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Red Barons were members of the International League from 1989-2006, winning divison titles in 1992, 1999, 2002 and 2006.
The club's name was selected as a tribute to two previous minor league franchises, the Scranton Red Sox and the Wilkes-Barre Barons - both members of the Eastern League.
Notable alumni include Scott Rolen, Chase Utley, Cole Hamels, Pat Burrell, Ryan Howard, Carlos Ruiz Jimmy Rollins and Shane Victorino.
