NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas (April 17, 2024) – The Frisco RoughRiders managed just one run on four hits in a 6-1 defeat to the Arkansas Travelers on Wednesday night from Dickey-Stephens Park.

The Riders (7-4) fell behind early when the Travelers (7-4) scored in the bottom of the second inning off of Frisco starter Ben Anderson. Kaden Polcovich laced an RBI single up the middle to make it 1-0. It was the only run that Anderson surrendered on the night in his four innings, striking out six and walking two.

In the top of the fifth, Frisco tied it when Josh Hatcher led off the frame with a double and Maximo Acosta singled him home, but Tyler Locklear hit a go-ahead solo home run in the bottom of the inning off of reliever Aidan Anderson (2-1) to give Arkansas the lead back at 2-1.

That score held until the bottom of the eighth when Arkansas scored four runs on a two-run Spencer Packard single and a two-run error, pushing the lead to 6-1.

Travelers' starter Logan Evans (1-1) earned the win, allowing just one run over his six innings of work.

Hatcher was the only Rider to collect multiple hits, going 2-for-3 on the night.

The RoughRiders and Travelers will meet for game threee of the six-game set at 6:35 p.m. on Thursday, April 18th. The RoughRiders have yet to announce a starter, but LHP Reid VanScoter (0-0, 3.00) will start for the Travelers.
