RoughRiders & Rangers extend PDC

The Rangers are the only organization that the RoughRiders have been affiliated with since the team was established in 2003. In ten seasons, Frisco has qualified for the playoffs seven times and won the Texas League championship in 2004. Since 2003, the 'Riders own the most regular season wins (765) and highest winning percentage (.540) of any Texas League team. The RoughRiders have sent 107 players to Major League Baseball in ten years, including three (Justin Grimm, Mike Olt and Jurickson Profar, respectively) that went directly from Frisco to the Rangers this season.

Fans have flocked to Dr Pepper Ballpark since it opened, with well over five million fans attending RoughRiders games in ten regular seasons. Frisco has led all Double-A teams in attendance in each of the last eight years, including this past season. In 2008, Ballpark Digest named the RoughRiders its "Organization of the Year."
The RoughRiders' quest for a second Texas League crown continues on Friday as the team plays the Springfield Cardinals in Game 3 of the Texas League Championship Series in a 7 p.m. start at Dr Pepper Ballpark.
