When will the season start?
While we don’t have an official Opening Day set at this time, we do know the start of the season will be delayed. In accordance with the recommendation from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) regarding gatherings of groups of 50 or more people, our partners at MLB have committed to an 8-week (starting March 16) delay. MiLB clubs will be working in tandem with MLB to determine our schedule as the situation develops.
How will the schedule change to accommodate the late start?
This situation is still evolving; MLB is developing several contingency plans for the 2020 season, so we can’t say for sure how the schedule will be impacted. No games have been canceled. MLB and MiLB will continue to assess the situation with the goal to return to normal operating procedures when it is safe to do so and maintain as many games as possible.
I have tickets to the home opener and/or other games, what does this mean for me?
All updates will be announced on RidersBaseball.com and RoughRiders social media platforms for any games that are affected by this delayed start. Please hold on to your tickets until a policy is announced as MLB and MiLB continue to evaluate global, national, state, and local events leading up to the start of the season.
Our ticket staff is available to answer questions and we appreciate your patience as we work with the information given to us. We will work to accommodate everyone so that they have a fun experience at the ballpark when they are comfortable doing so once play resumes.
Can we still stop by the Riders Outpost and the Box Office?
In the interest of the health and safety of our staff and fans, Riders Outpost and the Box Office are temporarily closed. However, we encourage fans to shop our online store or purchase tickets online. Until we have more clarity on the situation, we are happy to offer free shipping for all online Riders Outpost orders.
We will be consistently reassessing the situation and will reopen when it is deemed safe to do so. Tickets can be purchased at https://www.milb.com/frisco/tickets and you can shop the Riders Outpost at https://roughriders.milbstore.com.
