The Harrisburg Senators defeated the Altoona Curve 7-2 Sunday night at FNB Field. Daniel Murphy finished with six RBI while Kyle McGowin struck out a career-high 10 batters for the second straight start.

After starting pitchers Kyle McGowin and Taylor Hearn exchanged two scoreless innings, the Senators broke through for three in the third. A pair of walks and an error loaded the bases for Daniel Murphy, who lined a bases clearing three-run double to left center field to put the Senators ahead 3-0.
Altoona scored their first two runs in the fourth on a two-run home run by Stephen Alemais.
The Senators broke the game open with another three runs in the sixth. Following back-to-back singles by Daniel Johnson and Brian Goodwin, Murphy blasted a three-run home run to right to expand the lead to 6-2.
The Senators tacked on a run in the seventh when pinch-hitter Austin Davidson singled to right center which drove in Osvaldo Abreu.
McGowin (2-0) allowed just the two runs on six hits across seven innings while tying a career-high with 10 strike outs and walking just one.
Hearn (1-4) took the loss after allowing three runs in two and two-thirds of an inning.
Murphy led the Senators offense, finishing 2-4 with a home run and a Senators season-high six RBI in his second rehab game with the club. Goodwin finished 1-3 with two runs scored and a walk in his second rehab game.
"These kids get to see two big leaguers work. You see a guy like (Murphy) who's been in the league a long time and has been really successful. He's really passionate about his pregame work and then to watch him play is a learning experience for everybody," Senators manager Matt LeCroy said. "I hope (the team) pays attention to what these guys do and how they go about their business and compete. They brought some life to our team. We've got some young guys that have a chance to be around two quality Major Leaguers which is neat."
Kaleb Fleck and Bryan Harper combined to finish the game with three scoreless innings as the Senators won 7-2, their seventh win in their last eight games.
The Senators finish the homestand Monday afternoon. Luis Reyes starts for the Senators against Altoona starter Austin Coley. First pitch is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. at FNB Field. The game can be heard on CBS Sports Harrisburg 96.5 & 95.3 FM and 1400 AM or at www.cbssportsharrisburg.com beginning at 11:45 a.m.
