The Harrisburg Senators (35-30) shutout the Richmond Flying Squirrels (33-31) 3-0 Friday night at FNB Field. Senators starting pitcher Luis Reyes tossed six shutout innings and hit his first career home-run as the Senators won their sixth straight.

Starting pitchers Luis Reyes and Jordan Johnson exchanged four scoreless innings to start the game before Reyes put the Senators on the board in the bottom of the fifth. With one out in the frame, Reyes launched a 1-1 pitch from Johnson over the right field fence to put the Senators up 1-0. It's the first professional hit for Reyes as he became 14th Senators pitcher to hit a home run in the modern era (since 1987).
On the pitching side, Reyes (5-6) worked six shutout innings, limiting the Flying Squirrels to four hits and four walks while striking out three.
"He didn't have fastball command so he had to rely on his secondary stuff to get outs and sometimes you have to do that," Senators manager Matt LeCroy said. "He did a nice job and then he got the big hit. Hopefully he can gain some confidence from this outing."
Johnson (5-6) allowed just the one run on five hits over his six innings.
The Senators scored a pair of insurance runs in the ninth. After loading the bases on two walks and a single, Austin Davidson knocked a two-RBI single to left-center to put the Senators ahead 3-0.
Austen Williams worked a perfect seventh and eighth, and Derek Self tossed a perfect ninth to earn his sixth save and seal the 3-0 shutout win.
Raudy Read finished 1-3 with a triple, the fifth of his career, in his first game with the Senators on a Major League rehab assignment.
The six-game winning streak is tied for the longest of the season by the Senators as the club moved to a season-high five games over .500.
The Senators and Flying Squirrels continue the series Saturday night. Jaron Long takes the mound for the Senators opposite while the Squirrels have not announced their starting pitcher. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at FNB Field. The game can be heard on CBS Sports Harrisburg 96.5 & 95.3 FM and 1400 AM or at www.cbssportsharrisburg.com beginning at 5:45 p.m.
