The Senators tacked on an insurance run in the seventh when Read hit into a run scoring groundout with the bases loaded, and they plated their final run in the eighth when Jones singled in Alec Keller.

"It was a nice win. Good team effort. We did a nice job closing this one out," Senators manager Matt LeCroy said. "This was a big win, to win the series. Now we have to come out tomorrow and go for the sweep."
Zimmerman finished 1-3 with a home run, walk and an RBI in his first rehab game with the Senators.
"He had a lot of life and good at-bats. He moved down the line really well and made a nice play at first," LeCroy said. "He's getting close."
