JERSEY SHORE, NJ - As we get ready for what promises to be a special 2026 - it is our 25th anniversary season, after all, let's look back at some of our favorite moments from 2025 in ShoreTown!

Starting In Style

The BlueClaws opened the home schedule on April 8th, a frigid night at the Jersey Shore. The first pitch temperature of 45 degrees was the ninth sub-50 degree temperature on Opening Night (41 degrees in 2015 was officially the coldest). The BlueClaws trailed 2-0 going into the bottom of the seventh when they scored six runs, capped by a three run home run from Carson DeMartini!

Walk It Off

The BlueClaws had three walk-off wins in 2025, the first coming on May 6th on a three run home run by Kehden Hettiger. They added walk-off wins later in the year on an Avery Owusu-Asiedu single on August 6th against Hub City and another when Dante Nori scored on a wild pitch on September 3rd against Brooklyn.

Just Grand

The BlueClaws came back to beat Brooklyn on May 20th, taking the lead on a Bryan Rincon grand slam. In the process, manager Greg Brodzinski won his 161st game as BlueClaws manager, setting the club record for managerial victories.

A BlueClaws No-No

Jersey Shore came within two outs of a no-hitter on June 22nd against Hudson Valley (Braydon Tucker threw six hitless innings). Their no-hit bid was broken up by Jose Colemenares, who would later join the BlueClaws in August.

The BlueClaws got their no-hitter 10 days later on July 2nd. In game two of a double-header against Wilmington, Alex McFarlane threw five hitless innings before Ethan Chenault threw a scoreless sixth and Josh Hejka got the last three outs to complete what was the eighth no-hitter in BlueClaws history and first since Spencer Howard's no-hitter in the 2018 SAL Northern Division Championship Series.

They made another run at a no-hitter on September 4th against Brooklyn, losing their bid in the eight inning. Sam Highfill threw six hitless innings in that game.

Another First-Round Pick Joins the Claws

Dante Nori, the Phillies first-round pick in the 2024 draft, joined the BlueClaws on August 26th. He went 11-24 in his first series with the BlueClaws in Aberdeen, including a four hit, four steal game on August 30th. It was the first time in club history a BlueClaws player had four hits and four stolen bases in the same game.

He became the 17th first-round pick to play for the BlueClaws.

From Clearwater to ShoreTown

Nori wasn't the only high-profile Thresher to join the BlueClaws this year.

Aroon Escobar hit .285 with 11 home runs with Clearwater before joining the BlueClaws in July. He is the #5 prospect in the system per MLB Pipeline. Two weeks after Escobar's arrival, Eduardo Tait joined the BlueClaws. Tait also hit 11 home runs with Clearwater before his promotion. Tait, however, only played seven games with the BlueClaws before he was traded to the Twins in the deal that brought Jhoan Duran to the Phillies.

The Big Five

At season's end, the BlueClaws had pitchers from the three Big 5 baseball-playing schools. Ryan Dromboski (Penn), Luke Gabrysh (St. Joe's), and Danny Wilkinson (Villanova) all finished the season with the BlueClaws. Dromboski and Gabrysh grew up Phillies fans as well!

The Bennys & The Locals

The BlueClaws and Hudson Valley Renegades partnered this year on a special promotion celebrating Jersey Shore tourism! The BlueClaws played as the Jersey Shore Locals and Hudson Valley played as The Bennys! Check out the unveiling video below, narrated by Jersey Shore legend Todd Frazier!
