The BlueClaws and Spartanburgers have split the first two games of their season-ending six game series.
Quincy Scott hit a three run home run in the first inning to put the Spartanburgers up 3-0.
The BlueClaws did cut the lead to 3-2 with runs on RBI singles from Robert Phelps and Scott Mudler in the fourth, but Hub City blew the game open from there.
Their seven run fifth inning included a two run single from Maxton Martin, and an RBI single from Arturo De Freitas, a former BlueClaw. Esteban Mejia also had an RBI single and a wild pitch scored another.
Antonis Macias hit a SAC fly in the sixth for Hub City. Nate Humphreys tripled in a run in the ninth for Jersey Shore.
Brady Day went 0-5 in the loss for Jersey Shore, snapping his hitting streak at 15 games. It was tied for the longest hitting streak by a BlueClaw as a High-A affiliate.
Phelps and Mudler each had two hits for the BlueClaws. Jersey Shore starter Giussepe Velasquez did not allow a run after the three run first inning.
Gerardo Lopez threw two scoreless innings in relief.
The teams continue their series on Thursday night at 6:35 pm. RHP Ryan Dromboski starts for Jersey Shore.
