Castellano Fans 13, Claws Win 7-2 on Friday
JERSEY SHORE, NJ - Eiberson Castellano struck out 13 batters and the BlueClaws topped Brooklyn 7-5 on Friday night in front of a sold out crowd of 8,558 at ShoreTown Ballpark. The win was the 100th regular season win for manager Greg Brodzinski.

Castellano's 13 strikeouts were a new career high and the most by a BlueClaws pitcher this season. He tied Ben Brown and Griff McGarry (2022) for the most strikeouts by a High-A BlueClaw.
Jersey Shore (27-22) pulls to within two games of first place Greensboro in the SAL North.
The BlueClaws opened the scoring in the first on an opposite-field 2-run triple from Cade Fergus, who later scored on a wild pitch to give Jersey Shore a 3-0 lead. The BlueClaws added a run in the fourth on an RBI double from otto Kemp.
Brooklyn got back in the game on a two run home run from Stanley Consuegra in the sixth, his sixth of the season, to cut the lead to 4-2. Castellano stayed in after the home run but two more reached base. Andrew Walling came in and got a strikeout to end the inning and then threw a scoreless seventh.
Daniel Harper came on in the eighth and threw a 1-2-3 inning with two strikeouts. Charles King then threw a scoreless ninth.
Castellano fanned 13 while Walling, Harper, and King fanned two apiece. The 19 strikeouts by the BlueClaws are one off the club record for a nine inning game and tied the High-A team record for a nine inning game.
Erick Brito had three hits for the BlueClaws while Justin Crawford had one to extend his hitting streak to eight games.
The teams continue their series on Saturday night at 7:05 pm.
