The BlueClaws fell to 4-7 with the loss while Greensboro improved to 8-3. The teams have split the first two games of their series.
Greensboro opened the scoring in the first with two runs off Casey Steward. Keiner Delgado doubled home run and Javier Rivas then singled home Delgado. Shalin Polanco hit a two-run home run, his second of the year, in the fourth to push the lead to 4-0.
Bryan Rincon, Dylan Campbell, and Luke Davis had the three Jersey Shore hits in the game.
Steward was charged with four runs on five hits in five innings and took the loss.
Grasshoppers starter Antwone Kelly threw four scoreless innings. Jack Carey threw two scoreless and earned the win.
Ethan Chenault, Jaydenn Estanista, and Luis Avila threw scoreless innings in relief for the BlueClaws.
Alex McFarlane starts for Jersey Shore in game three of their series on Thursday.
