Claws Drop Pair to Hudson Valley on Friday at ShoreTown Ballpark

JERSEY SHORE, NJ - Hudson Valley swept a double-header from the BlueClaws on Friday, winning 5-1 and 2-0 to take the first four games of their series at ShoreTown Ballpark.

The BlueClaws have dropped 11 in a row at ShoreTown Ballpark.

Game One

The Renegades held off the BlueClaws 5-1 to win game one. Jersey Shore got a run in the seventh on a base hit by Angel Mata but left the bases loaded after Hansel Rincon came in to get the final two outs and earn his second save of the series.

Hudson Valley took the lead in the second on a two run home run from Willie Montero off BlueClaws starter Ryan Dromboski.

The Renegades scored three times in the fifth, all after Dromboski got the first two outs. After a single and walk, a fly ball from David McCann turned into an error on right fielder Devin Saltiban, scoring two. McCann then scored on a wild pitch to make it 5-0.

Dromboski was charged with five runs, two earned, in his 4.2 innings of work.

Renegades starter Pico Kohn threw four scoreless innings and pitched around a one out triple and leadoff triple in two different innings.

Game Two

Hudson Valley got two runs in the third to take the lead. A SAC fly from Kyle West opened the scoring and Emmanuel Tejeda doubled home the second run.

Jersey Shore starter Tanner Gresham gave up two runs over four innings.

Jersey Shore had runners in scoring position in the fifth, sixth, and seventh but did not score.

Luis Serna gave just one hit over 5.2 innings with seven strikeouts to earn the win.

The teams continue their series on Saturday night at 7:05 pm. LHP Cade Obermueller starts for Jersey Shore.
