Claws Fall 9-7 on Jersey Tomatoes Night in ShoreTown

JERSEY SHORE, NJ - Frederick rallied to top the BlueClaws 9-7 on Jersey Tomatoes Night, Thursday at ShoreTown Ballpark.

Jersey Shore has dropped the first three games to Frederick after taking five of six from Hudson Valley last week.

Trailing 1-0, the BlueClaws took the lead in the second with the help of two Keys errors.

After Frederick went up 4-2, the BlueClaws came back in the fifth to tie the game. Robert Phelps hit a solo home run, his first BlueClaws home run, to make it 4-3. Later in the inning, Griffin Burkholder hit a SAC fly to tie the game at four.

Daunte Stuart then doubled home two runs to put the BlueClaws up 6-4. In the process, Stuart extended his hitting streak to 12 games, the longest by a BlueClaw since 2024.

Frederick responded, scoring twice in the seventh to tie the game. A Leandro Arias safety squeeze leveled the game at six apiece.

Then in the eighth, Danyony Pulido walked three Keys and Enddy Azocar's SAC fly put Frederick up 7-6. Frederick added two more in the ninth on a two out single from Braylon Whitaker.

Mark Koloszvary hit a solo home run in the ninth for the BlueClaws, who fell two runs short.

Phelps and Stuart both had two RBIs for Jersey Shore.

The BlueClaws and Keys continue their series on Friday at 7:05 pm, Star Wars Night in ShoreTown.
