Crawford becomes the 10th former BlueClaw to debut this year, with all 10 making their big league debuts with the Phillies.

Crawford played with the BlueClaws in 2013-14 after being selected 16th overall in the 2013 draft. When he reached Lakewood in August of 2013, he became the first (and only) high school draftee to play for the BlueClaws in the year he was drafted.
When he stepped to the plate for his first at bat, he saw Mets catcher Travis d'Arnaud, another former BlueClaw (2009). Both Crawfrod and d'Arnaud went to Lakewood High School in California.
After spending two weeks in Lakewood in 2013, Crawford hit .295 with three home runs and 14 stolen bases with the BlueClaws in 2014 before a mid-season promotion to Clearwater.
This is the third time (2012 and 2014 being the others) that the BlueClaws have had 10 alums make big league debuts in one season. Crawford is the sixth member of the 2014 BlueClaws to reach the big leagues, following Andrew Knapp, Mark Leiter Jr., Jesen Therrien, Drew Anderson, and Yacksel Rios.
