Friday's Game Suspended, To Be Finished Saturday Followed by 7-Inning Game

DES MOINES, IOWA – The Louisville Bats announced that Friday’s (July 30) 8:08 p.m. game at the Iowa Cubs (Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs) has been suspended due to rain with one out in the fifth inning and the Bats leading 3-2. The two teams will resume the contest

DES MOINES, IOWA – The Louisville Bats announced that Friday’s (July 30) 8:08 p.m. game at the Iowa Cubs (Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs) has been suspended due to rain with one out in the fifth inning and the Bats leading 3-2. The two teams will resume the contest at 5:38 p.m. EST Saturday, July 31 at Principal Park (to nine innings).

Iowa and Louisville will then play their regularly-scheduled Saturday game 30 minutes after the completion of Friday’s suspended contest. Saturday’s original game will now be a seven-inning contest between the Cubs and Bats.

Top prospect Jose Barrero has already homered and doubled for Louisville through four innings of play on Friday. He now has hits in 14 of his last 15 games dating to July 15.
