The R-Phils are proud to stand together to raise awareness and funds for one of baseball’s most important fights. Fightin Cancer Night recognizes all types of cancer and every battle, and fans are encouraged to join the organization in supporting and championing these fighters.
The Cancer Awareness jerseys worn by the R-Phils on August 12 will honor individuals battling all forms of cancer. The first 25 families or groups that purchase 20 or more tickets in reserved seating or a picnic area for the August 12 game will have the opportunity to have a loved one represented during the game at no additional charge. Each specialty jersey will be personalized with the honoree’s name on the back, and players will receive a photo and bio of the individual they are representing on the field. Following the game, a special jersey ceremony will take place, with the 25 jersey honorees receiving the game-worn jerseys on the field. If the honoree is present, they will receive the jersey; if the honoree has passed, the family will receive it.
To reserve the opportunity for a jersey to be worn by a player during the August 12 Fightin Cancer Night, please complete this FORM. A Reading Fightin Phils representative will follow up to confirm your submission and help coordinate your group outing for the game.
The Fightin Phils return to FirstEnergy Stadium to open the 2026 season on Tuesday, April 7 at 6:45 p.m., against the Hartford Yard Goats, Double-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies.
