The Reading Fightin Phils fell to the Harrisburg Senators 12-5 on a cold and windy Tuesday night. The Senators scored early and often and while the Fightins tried to bounce back they could not come through. Kevin Vicuna had a three-hit game while Billy Sullivan threw his third scoreless outing.

Harrisburg put up two in the first inning and added another pair in the third thanks to a two-run homer from Taylor Gushue.

Reading chipped away at the lead with Jhailyn Ortiz slammed a double to the wall to score Logan O’Hoppe making it 4-1.

In the fourth, the Senators notched four hits to plate another four runs, capitalizing off of two Fightins errors. They led 8-1.

Harrisburg batted around the order in the fifth, adding another three runs on five walks and a hit. The Sens increased their lead to ten runs.

The R-Phils were able to put up a run as O’Hoppe scored one more on a Harrisburg miscue.

Mitch Longo capped off the night with a solo shot to left center.

A two-run double from Vito Friscia in the bottom of the ninth made it 12-5.

Jack Perkins threw 3.2 innings giving up six hits. His final line etched seven runs to his name. Nick Lackney came in for relief in the middle of the fourth with runners on. He allowed a hit, but the runs scored tracked back to Perkins. In the next frame he walked five, giving up four runs. Billy Sullivan pitched an inning and a third for a clean outing, his third of the season. Erik Miller threw a 1-2-3 frame.
