The Reno Aces wrapped up a six-game homestand against the Round Rock Express, Triple-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers. The Aces took two out of the six games.

In their season debut as Los Corazones de Reno, the Aces’ offense poured it on early with a five-run first inning highlighted by a bases-clearing triple from Stone Garrett for a 5-0 lead. The Aces collected three more runs throughout the game to cement the 8-4 win. Tommy Henry earned his first Triple-A win after tossing 5.2 innings of three-run ball on eight hits and struck out four batters.

The Aces celebrated Mother’s Day Sunday with a 6-5 triumph over the Express. A five-run barrage in the first two innings capped off by a bases-clearing double from Jake Hager fueled Reno’s offense. On the mound, the relief quartet of Edwin Uceta, Ryan Meisinger, Jacob Webb and Miguel Aguilar tossed six shutout innings and allowed just one earned run against Round Rock.

This was Reno’s lone series against Round Rock for the season.
