Salt Lake City, Utah – Slade Cecconi's dominance on the mound set the tone as the Reno Aces (7-8) secured a 5-1 victory over the Salt Lake Bees (6-10) Tuesday night’s series opener at Smith's Ballpark.

Cecconi's exceptional performance on the mound was the highlight of the game. Over six innings, he kept the Bees hitters in check, allowing only one earned run on five hits, one walk, and six strikeouts. His dominance was evident as he ended the night by striking out the final two Salt Lake batters he faced, earning his second win of the season.

Tristin English played a pivotal role in Reno's victory, leading the team's offensive efforts with a stellar three-hit, three-RBI night. His standout moment came in the second inning when he hit a two-run home run over the right-field wall.

Albert Almora, Jr. had a 2-for-5 performance and scored a run as tonight marked his seventh multi-hit game with the Aces in 14 games this season.

Andres Chaparro had a deuce’s-wild night after the third baseman tallied a 2-for-2 performance with two runs scored and a pair of walks.

The Aces look to carry this winning momentum into game two of the six-game series Wednesday afternoon at Smith's Ballpark. The first pitch is set for 11:05 a.m. PT.
