Summerlin, NV – Tommy Henry mowed down the Las Vegas Aviators (15-17) with six innings of one run ball and eight strikeouts in a 9-6 Reno Aces (15-17) win on Saturday night at Las Vegas Ballpark.

Henry, making his first Triple A start of the season, was in complete control throughout the night. He finished the outing by sitting down 10 Aviators in a row with five strikeouts. The lefty didn’t allow Las Vegas to touch second base after a lone run in the first inning.

Brett Johnson continued to wreak havoc from the bottom of the order, reaching four times with two walks, a double, a triple, and two more runs driven in. Tristin English smashed his fourth homer of the year to dead center in the fifth, giving Reno a 7-1 lead. All nine hitters in the BLC Nine order reached base at least once.

Alek Thomas drove in a run with a single and drew a walk while Andrés Chaparro knocked in two more runs with a double down the line in the sixth. Reno can secure a series victory with a win Sunday afternoon. Humberto Castellanos is the probable starter for the 12:05 p.m. PST finale.
