Reno Aces Continue Holiday Spirit with Northern Nevada Charity Donations

RENO, Nev. – As the holiday season rings on, the Reno Aces’ spirit of giving back to the Northern Nevada community continues as the club partnered with three local charities: Salvation Army, Reno Rodeo Foundation, and the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office throughout December.
On Tuesday, December 12th, the Aces presented the Reno Rodeo Foundation with a $10,000 check for their Denim Drive, which will be utilized to purchase gift cards that will allow rural foster families across 14 Northern Nevada counties to choose precisely what they need and want during the holiday season.
Archie and members of the Reno Aces front office joined the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office for their annual Shopping with the Sherriff event at the Spanish Springs Walmart on Wednesday, December 13th. For the event, the Aces were able to present a $2,000 check which sponsored 10 local children to shop for holiday gifts.
Lastly, Archie was found throughout the Reno-Sparks metro area ringing the Salvation Army bell and helping with donations at their signature red kettles. During the month, the Reno Aces mascot made three appearances throughout the region, ringing the bell and raising money for the organization.
The Reno Aces are slated to open the 2024 season on the road in Las Vegas on Friday, March 29th. They will make their home debut at Greater Nevada Field on Tuesday, April 2nd, hosting the Sacramento River Cats, Triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, at 2:05 p.m. PDT.
