RENO, Nev. – The Reno Aces (28-29) demonstrated their prowess by clinching the series against the Salt Lake Bees (25-31) this past week at Greater Nevada Field, triumphing in four out of six games. This victory propels Reno to an impressive 9-3 record across 12 games against the Bees this season.

Tuesday's series opener, featuring the Micheladas de Reno, was a testament to the Aces' resilience. Despite being down by a run in the ninth inning, the team rallied, showcasing their determination. This led to a golden opportunity for Adrian Del Castillo, Reno's most formidable hitter, to make his mark. The left-handed backstop seized the moment, delivering a powerful line-drive double into left-center field to score two runs and secure a thrilling victory over the Bees.

Del Castillo was a force to be reckoned with throughout the series, emerging as a significant threat to Salt Lake. The Miami native led the team with a staggering 12 base hits, including six doubles, one home run, and five RBI. His exceptional performance has not gone unnoticed, as he currently leads the PCL in hits (70), doubles (22), slugging percentage (.612), and total bases (126).

Thursday's commanding 13-3 win marked the Ace's fifth consecutive victory Aces, a new season high. Kyle Garlick's four-hit performance from Kyle Garlick, which featured two doubles, two home runs, and four RBI, was the key performer in the victory. The power hitter enjoyed a productive series against the Bees, going 9-for-26 (.346) with five extra-base hits (3 home runs) while leading the Aces with seven RBI.

An 8-2 victory on Saturday secured the series for the Aces on the heels of eight extra-base hits and a solid day from the bullpen. Bryson Brigman went 3-for-5 with two triples and two RBI. The second baseman has been great for Reno, slashing .311/.353/.415 with seven extra-base hits in 116 plate appearances. The relieving trio of Austin Pope, Scott McGough, and Andrew Saalfrank closed the door on Salt Lake as they allowed two runs through six innings with 11 strikeouts and no walks. Saalfrank stood out amongst the trio, tallying six strikeouts in two innings and punching out the side in the ninth inning to collect his third save of the season.

Tristin English started to turn it on against Salt Lake. The Georgia Tech alumnus was slow to start at the plate but has since picked it up, gathering 10 hits in 22 at-bats, including three doubles and two home runs with four RBI. Notably, the outfielder/first baseman is riding a seven-game hitting streak.

The Aces will return to Greater Nevada Field for a six-game set against the Sacramento River Cats, the Triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. The series will begin on Tuesday, June 11, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
