Tacoma, Wash. – Pavin Smith’s grand slam and two solo shots from Andres Chaparro and Kolten Wong were not enough to give the Reno Aces (6-8) the advantage over the Tacoma Rainiers (11-4) in a 13-7 loss on Sunday at Cheney Stadium.
Through the first four innings in Sunday's contest, the Aces seemed poised for a victory after taking an early 6-2 lead and hammering three home runs off Tacoma starter Michael Mariot, highlighted by Smiths no-doubt grand slam over the right field porch. However, the Rainiers wouldn’t go down without a fight and mounted an impressive comeback, rallying for 11 runs to overcome the deficit.
Safe to say Pavin got all of that one 💪
