The Flying Squirrels added single runs in the third, fifth, and sixth innings. Joe Panik was 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Jarrett Parker and Ryan Lollis also had a pair of hits for Richmond, and Travious Relaford picked up an RBI single.

Bill Bray pitched a perfect seventh inning out of the Senators bullpen and Ian Krol tossed two scoreless innings with four strikeouts. Brian Goodwin, Jerad Head, Ricky Hague, and Sean Nicol had the four hits for the Senators in the ballgame, all singles.

Treinen gave up all four runs in six innings of work and struck out seven. Fabio Castillo earned the win for Richmond with three and one-third hitless innings.
