HAGERSTOWN, MD - Thursday night's game between the Delmarva Shorebirds and Hagerstown Suns at Municipal Stadium has been suspended due to rain. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Friday afternoon.

The game began at 6:05 p.m. With no score and two outs in the top of the second inning, Hagerstown pitcher James Bourque had a 3-0 count on Delmarva catcher Daniel Fajardo. A flash of lightning at 6:25 signaled the arrival of a storm, and the umpires called for a delay just as the rain started swirling in. About 30 minutes later, the game was suspended and rescheduled for the next day.

The Shorebirds and Suns will resume this game at its present point as part of a doubleheader on Friday afternoon at 3:35. It will go the full nine innings. The teams will then play a seven-inning game following the conclusion of the first. Delmarva's Lucas Humpal (0-1, 2.65) is scheduled to start the second game against Hagerstown's Carlos Pena (1-0, 4.00). Pregame coverage for the first game on Fox Sports AM 960 and the MiLB First Pitch app begins at 3:20 p.m. with Will DeBoer on the call.
