Bisons place Mike Nickeas on temporary inactive list
Catcher Jack Murphy promoted from Double-A
The Buffalo Bisons today announced that C JACK MURPHY has been promoted to the club from Double-A New Hampshire. The club has also placed C MIKE NICKEAS on the temporary inactive list, retroactive to July 10.
Murphy, 25, will be making his Triple-A debut with the Bisons. The Blue Jays' 31st round selection in the 2009 First Year Player Draft has averaged .200 (23-115) with six doubles, a home run and 11 RBI in 33 games with the Fisher Cats this season.
Nickeas has hit .161 (19-118) with eight doubles and five RBI in 39 games with the Herd this season.
