2023 HR Derby Champion: RT Spencer Brown
A Home Run Derby for the ages as RT Spencer Brown upset QB Josh Allen in a memorable derby filled with prestigious home runs. Brown hit 10 out in the first round to advance to finals with DE A.J. Epenesa (11). Brown then peppered the Bully Hill Party Deck in right, even hitting a home run off the roof and into the parking lot, to defeat Epenesa, 11-8.
But to be the champ you have to beat the champ, and 2-Time Derby Champion Josh Allen stepped in and hit 11 home runs of his own, including multiple moon shots onto Oak St. After a 3-Swing Overtime resulted in 3 more home runs for each competitor, Brown defeated Allen in a 1-swing winner take all to take the title!
2023 Game: Defense 14, Offense 11
The Home Run Derby continued during the game with 15 more blasts in the Defense's 14-11 win. The D took a 7-1 lead after the first inning as Boogie Basham, Tyler Bass, Micah Hyde and A.J. Klein all homered. but the Offense scored 4 in the second and 6 in the fourth inning for the 11-7 lead. In the third, Josh Allen, Dawson Knox, Quintin Morris and Ryan Bates hit back-to-back-to-back-to-back home runs.
But the defense closed the gap to 11-9, and then walked it off as Hyde hit his third home run of the game, a walk-off grand slam

Defense HR: Hyde (3), Basham, Bass, Klein, Epenesa, Settle.
