CONEY ISLAND, NY (September 7, 2021) – Luis Gonzalez and Ronny Mauricio blasted home runs, but the Brooklyn Cyclones, the High-A affiliate of the New York Mets, lost a 4-0 lead and a 7-6 decision to the Hudson Valley Renegades Tuesday night at Maimonides Park.

• Ronny Mauricio catapulted his 19th home run of the season, a two-run home run, in the top of the eighth to pull Brooklyn within one at 7-6. In the ninth, Jose Peroza was stranded at third base by closer Derek Craft who earned the save, striking out Luis Gonzalez to end the game.
