MOOSIC, PA — The Buffalo Bisons were shutout by the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders on Friday night, losing 5-0 in the fourth game of this six-game set from PNC Park.

Shaun Anderson made his second start of the series and went 2.2 innings while giving up two runs off one hit, a two-run homer by Oswald Peraza in the first, while walking two and striking out three.

Nick Allgeyer replaced him in the third and also gave up a pair of runs — though one was unearned — over his 1.2 innings of work: Miguel Andújar doubled and scored on a wild pitch, while Armando Alvarez scored on an error by shortstop Eric Stamets.

Mike Ellenbest walked in a run in the sixth to increase the deficit to five, before Foster Griffin had the only scoreless outing of the day for the Herd with two no-hit frames.

The Bisons’ offence, meanwhile, couldn’t seem to muster any hits off Scranton starter Jhony Brito, who gave up just two hits over 5.1 shutout innings in addition to walking four and striking out seven. Jose Mujica followed with 2.1 innings of one-hit ball, before Zach Greene got the remaining four outs to end the ballgame.

The Bisons will look to get back in the win column tomorrow evening, and will do so with Casey Lawrence on the mound at 6:05 p.m. EST.
