FREDERICKSBURG, VA: The Delmarva Shorebirds (7-6) dominated the Fredericksburg Nationals (4-9) on Friday thanks to their best offensive showing of the season in a 16-4 victory.

The Shorebirds struck first in the second inning as they manufactured two runs on a bases-loaded walk to Luis Gonzalez, followed by a wild pitch that scored Stiven Acevedo to make it 2-0 Delmarva.

In the third, the Nationals tied the game on a two-run single by Elijah Green as Robert Hassell III and Daylen Lyle both scored.

Delmarva reclaimed the lead an inning later as they grabbed two more runs on a wild pitch and a passed ball as Luis Gonzalez and Adam Crampton both scored respectively to go up 4-2.

An inning later, the Shorebirds offense took off for a huge inning, starting with Stiven Acevedo who doubled into the left-field corner to plate both Anderson De Los Santos & Creed Willems to put Delmarva ahead 6-2. The next batter, Anthony Servideo, sent a two-run homer over the left field wall to up the advantage to 8-2. They weren't done just yet. A few batters later, Jackson Holliday launched his first home run of the season as he sent a three-run shot over the opposite field wall in left to cap off a seven-run frame with the Shorebirds now ahead 11-2.

The Fred Nats got two runs back on a single by Donovan Casey in the bottom of the inning making it 11-4.

Elio Prado contributed an RBI of his own in the seventh on a sacrifice fly to bring home Adam Crampton, pushing the lead back to eight at 12-4.

The Delmarva offense had one final act in the ninth inning as they scored four more runs. Jackson Holliday started it with another home run to left field to match the largest lead of the night at 13-4. Samuel Basallo then doubled home Elio Prado and Anderson De Los Santos to make it 15-4. Stiven Acevedo brought home the final run with an RBI groundout to conclude a convincing, 16-4 victory over the Fred Nats.

Darlin Alcantara (1-0) earned the win in relief with 3.1 scoreless innings out of the bullpen with Bryan Sanchez (1-1) taking the loss for Fredericksburg.

Delmarva's impressive offensive display was led by Jackson Holliday who finished with the first multi-homer game of his pro career while driving in four runs for the third time this season. Stiven Acevedo provided two hits and a career-high three RBIs on the night. Anthony Servideo cranked his first homer of the in the fifth inning while reaching three times total in the game. Adam Crampton set a new career-best for hits with three while also scoring a team-high three runs. All ten players who batted for the Shorebirds reached base at least once with nine of them providing a hit. The 16 runs on 17 hits are both season-highs for Delmarva.

The Shorebirds will look to lock up a series victory on Saturday as Wyatt Cheney toes the slab for Delmarva versus Brad Lord for the Nationals with first pitch at 6:05 p.m.
