New Hampshire Fisher Cats 7, Harrisburg Senators 2

Summary

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats made it two straight wins at FNB Field over the Senators with their 7-2 win Thursday night. New Hampshire spoiled the return of Cole Henry to Harrisburg. The Fisher Cats scored four times in the fourth and three times in the eighth for their seven runs. Harrisburg managed just five hits in the game Thursday night.

The Big Play

The Senators scored a run in the bottom of the third to take a 1-0 lead. In the fourth, New Hampshire had a runner at first with two outs, trailing 1-0. After a two-out single and a hit batter, PK Morris tripled in three runs to give the Fisher Cats a 3-1 lead.

On Capitol Hill

Cole Henry started, making his first start this season for the Senators, went 3.2 innings and allowed four runs on four hits. Lucas Knowles and Sean Doolittle followed and combined to go 2.2 scoreless innings. Tyler Beck allowed three runs before turning the game over to Garvin Alston. Alston pitched the final 1.1 innings.

With the Gavel

Jackson Cluff homered, his fourth of the season. Blake Rutherford had two hits including an RBI double.

Filibusters

Both Erie and Altoona lost so the Senators remain 2.5 games out of first place with 16 games remaining in the first half.
