Cole Freeman hit a two-run home run in the 10th inning leading the Senators to a 5-3 win over Reading Saturday night at FNB Field. The Senators rallied from a 2-0 deficit by scoring single runs in the 7th and 8th innings to tie the game. The walk off was the first for the season for Harrisburg.

ON CAPITAL HILL

Mario Sanchez started and pitched seven solid frames allowing four hits on two runs. Both runs scored on a two-run home run by Rodolfo Duran. He struck out nine, matching his season-high and walked one.

Matt Cronin tossed a scoreless 8th inning allowing two hits and striking out one.

Jhon Romero pitched the 9th walking a batter and having a runner reach on an error but stranding the two runners on base.

Pearson McMahan earned the win, pitching the 10th frame and allowing only the placed runner to score on an infield single when the ball got stuck in the webbing of Aldrem Corredor.

WITH THE GAVEL

Cole Freeman blasted a two-run game ending home run with no outs in the 10th. It was his fourth home run this season.

Jecksson Flores had a rbi single in the 10th to drive in the Senators placed runner, Nick Banks.

Corban Joseph had two hits including a single in the 8th driving in Freeman with the game tying run.

FILIBUSTERS

The walk off is the first for the Senators this season. It is the first Senators walk off home run since Hunter Jones hit a grand slam against Akron July 16, 2018. It was the Sens second extra inning win in 2021.
