Summary

The Harrisburg Senators lost a rain-shortened game at Altoona 9-2 Saturday night at PNG Field. Altoona plated five runs in the second inning to break open the game and take a 7-0 lead. They scored two more in the third before the Senators scored twice in the fourth. Harrisburg broke through when James Wood and Brady House hit back-to-back home runs on consecutive pitches to trim the deficit to 9-2. In the sixth inning, the Senators had the bases loaded and just one out when the umpires stopped play due to imminent inclement weather. The game was called thirty minutes after it went into a delay.

The Big Play

In the second inning, the leadoff batter Andres Alvarez reached base on an error. The next two batters reached before the next two were retired. With two outs, Altoona then scored five runs.
