The Harrisburg Senators and Binghamton Rumble Ponies split their doubleheader Saturday at NYSEG Stadium. The Ponies won a walk-off 3-2 in game one but the Senators came back to take the night cap 1-0.

The Senators scored their only two runs of game one when Raudy Read doubled in a pair of runners in the top of the first.
Senators starter César Vargas tossed two scoreless innings before the Binghamton tied the game in the third on run scoring singles from Joey Terdoslovich and Pat Mazeika.
The score remained 2-2 until the bottom of the seventh. After a leadoff walk, Andrés Giménez bunted a pitch back to pitcher Roman Mendez whose throw to first went past first baseman Dan Gamache which allowed the lead-runner, Patrick Biondi, to reach third and Gimenez to reach second. Two batters later, Terdoslovich knocked a walk-off single to send Binghamton to the win.
Mendez (5-4) took the loss after allowing the winning run to score and failing to record an out in his lone inning. Reliever Corey Taylor (2-1) earned the win.
Game two started with five straight scoreless innings until Carter Kieboom launched an 0-1 pitch from Binghamton starter Justin Dunn over the center field fence for his third home run of the season as the Senators took a 1-0 lead.

That was the only run that Dunn (5-4) allowed on three hits in his five frames.
Senators starter Jaron Long (4-7) allowed a double in the first and single in the third before retiring the next 14 batters of the game. Will Toffey ended the streak with a leadoff single in the seventh. With one out, Ronald Peña entered the game and set down both hitters he faced to seal the 1-0 win and notch his fourth save.
The Senators and Rumble Ponies play the rubber match of their three-game series and finish their season series Sunday afternoon. Sterling Sharp takes the bump for the Senators opposite Binghamton starter Kevin McGowan. First pitch is scheduled for 2:05 p.m. at NYSEG Stadium.
