Baseball America Releases Phillies Top 10 Prospect List (Video)

List includes several past and future BlueClaws

JERSEY SHORE, NJ - Spencer Howard, a 2018 BlueClaw, topped the 2021 Phillies Top Ten Prospect list, put out annually by Baseball America. The list includes both past BlueClaws and future BlueClaws.

Baseball America Top Ten Phillies Prospects (year with BlueClaws)

  1. RHP Spencer Howard (2018) - Howard threw a no-hitter for the BlueClaws in the 2018 South Atlantic League Northern Division Championship Series and made his big league debut for the Phillies this summer.
  2. RHP Mick Abel - Abel, a right-hander from Oregon, was the 15th overall pick in the 2020 MLB Draft.
  3. SS Bryson Stott - A shortstop drafted out of UNLV, Stott was the Phillies first-round pick in the 2019 MLB Draft.
  4. RHP Francisco Morales (2019) - Morales struck out more than 12 batters per nine innings while pitching for the BlueClaws in 2019.
  5. C Rafael Marchan (2019) - Marchan hit .271 for the BlueClaws in 2019 and was promoted to the Phillies this year, making his big league debut.
  6. SS Luis Garcia (2019) - Garcia spent 2019 with the BlueClaws as one of the youngest players in the South Atlantic League and in BlueClaws history.
  7. OF Yhoswar Garcia - The Venezuela native signed with the Phillies in March and is yet to appear in a professional game.
  8. OF Simon Muzziotti (2018) - Muzziotti stole 18 bases for the BlueClaws in 2018 and played last year with Clearwater.
  9. OF Johan Rojas - Rojas hit a combined .265 with 14 stolen bases last year between the GCL Phillies and Williamsport.
  10. SS Nick Maton (2018) - Maton spent 2018 with the BlueClaws and split last year between Clearwater and Reading.
