GSSD Parking Info

Please follow the very important instructions and give this information to your bus drivers...

Buses Parking in a Lot:

  1. Educators will receive a link via email for an online form to fill out to report their arrival/departure times. Please fill out this form as soon as you get it to ensure your school is assigned appropriate parking.
  2. Lugnuts staff will contact educators indicating one of four (4) possible parking locations around Jackson® Field™ and instruct individual schools on their parking destination.
  3. Educators will receive a packet of information in the mail no more than a week before the game. This packet will include your bus' parking location, a voucher for each bus driver's ticket, an area map with a highlighted route for your bus as well as lot indicator signage to be displayed in each bus' windshield.
  4. Buses will park at their designated lot, then drop off their students. Buses will remain parked in their lot until students have boarded their bus once the game is over. Do not leave your lot before your students have boarded!

Buses Dropping Off:

  1. Educators will receive a link via email for an online form to fill out to report their arrival/departure times. Please fill out this form as soon as you get it to ensure your school is assigned the appropriate permission and instructions. Only schools that have handicapped needs on their buses or schools with buses that will not be parking for the game can drop off their students up front due to limited space!
  2. Educators will receive a packet of information in the mail no more than a week before the game. This packet will include your bus' drop off location, a voucher for each bus driver's ticket, an area map with a highlighted route for your bus as well as a "drop off" indicator sign to be displayed in each bus' windshield.
  3. Buses will pick up students at the same location following the game.

Chaperones and Parent Parking: The City of Lansing's regular game day parking lots should be open for parking as well as a few area business lots for a minimal fee.

We know how hard it can be to keep track of time when you are having so much fun at GSSD, but please make sure to be aware of your school's departure time.
