LANSING, Mich. – The Great Lakes Loons (6-3) lost two of their first three games to the Lansing Lugnuts (3-6), but completed a dominant weekend performance with a 12-4 victory on Sunday afternoon at Jackson® Field™.

The Loons outscored the Lugnuts 32-10 in winning the final three games of the series, conducting a Saturday doubleheader sweep before cruising in the finale.

Five pitchers combined to hold the Lugnuts to two hits while Dylan Campbell led a 15-hit showing, going 4-for-5 with a home run and four RBIs. Chris Newell added a home run for the second straight day for the Loons, who hit six homers in the series.

Lansing starter Blaze Pontes allowed eight runs, seven earned, on nine hits in 3 2/3 innings. Colton Johnson followed with 1 1/3 scoreless innings, Eduardo Rivera fanned three while allowing a run in two frames, Hunter Breault gave up a three-run double to Campbell in the eighth, and Yehizon Sanchez pitched a scoreless ninth.

Will Simpson (0-for-3, walk) and Colby Halter (0-for-3, walk) each extended their on-base streaks to nine games in the loss.

The Nuts travel for a six-game series at Lake County from April 16-21, returning for a 12-game, 13-day homestand against Dayton and South Bend from April 23-May 5.
