APPLETON, Wisc. – Behind season high run and hit outputs, the Wisconsin Udder Tuggers (2-1, 28-39) dealt the Lansing Lugnuts (1-2, 32-36) a 12-4 loss on Sunday afternoon at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium, splitting the six-game series.

All nine Udder Tuggers batters collected at least one hit, piling up 16 hits against four Lansing pitchers, with only Robert Moore failing to score a run and only Eric Brown, Jr. failing to bat in a run. Center fielder Joe Gray, Jr. finished 3-for-4 to lead the way, collecting a triple, double, single and sacrifice fly in order before flying out to deep center field in an attempt to achieve the cycle.

Lansing starter Joelvis Del Rosario pitched two innings plus five batters into the third, tagged for eight runs – four apiece in the second and the third innings – on nine hits and two walks. Kumar Nambiar recorded the next six outs scorelessly before Wisconsin tallied one in the sixth against Mac Lardner and three in the seventh against Lardner and John Beller.

In defeat, the Lugnuts notched 11 hits themselves, including two doubles apiece from Jack Winkler and Brayan Buelvas. Wisconsin starter Jacob Misiorowski, the top pitching prospect in the Brewers system, lasted only 2 2/3 innings, allowing four hits, four walks and two runs.

The game featured a steady shower at the start and concluded in a downpour.

After days off on Monday and Tuesday, the Lugnuts continue their 12-game road trip at Great Lakes from Wednesday, June 28, through Monday, July 3, returning home to host the Lake County Captains in a six-game series beginning on Independence Day.
