(Reading, PA) - The Reading Fightin Phils have announced their 2020 promotional schedule, with the season set to begin at home on Thursday, April 9th at 7:10 p.m. against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. (Reading, PA) - The Reading Fightin Phils have announced their 2020 promotional schedule, with the season set to begin at home on Thursday, April 9th at 7:10 p.m. against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. The first 3,500 adults in attendance on Opening Night receive a 70th Anniversary of America's Classic Ballpark Fleece Blanket, thanks to Penn State Health St. Joseph, Feesers, Carpenter, and The Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School. Mother's Day/Breast Cancer PINK OUT: On Mother's Day, Sunday, May 10th, the Reading Fightin Phils will honor those who have battled breast cancer, when Fightins players and coaches will wear custom jerseys featuring the names of people who have fought the disease. Groups of 20 or more can choose to have a loved one's name featured on an in-game jersey by signing up here: All fans are encouraged to wear pink. The first 1,500 women in attendance will receive a PINK Out for Breast Cancer Back Pack, thanks to Reading Hospital McGlinn Cancer Institute.
19th Annual Morning Game: Up early? Come join us for a 9:45 a.m. first pitch on Wednesday, May 13th, and the first 2,000 adults will receive an R-Phils black "R-Train" hat, courtesy of Reading Hospital. Gates open at 7:30 a.m., and fans arriving before 8 a.m. can enjoy a free hot dog and Gerhart Coffee. A pregame stroll around the warning track will take place at 8:30 a.m.
Baseballtown Hall of Fame Induction: Former R-Phils and Philadelphia Phillies catcher Carlos Ruiz will be inducted into the Penn State Children's Hospital Baseballtown Hall of Fame on Saturday, May 30th. Ruiz was a member of the R-Phils in 2003 and 2004, helped lift the Phillies to a World Series Championship in 2008, and was a National League All-Star with the Phillies in 2012.
Gluttony Night: On Tuesday, June 2nd, it's all-you-can-eat at the concession stands from 5-9 p.m. for only $10 when purchased in advance. Gluttony Night also features the 20th annual Chili Festival and 13th annual Wing Festival for Gluttony Night participants.
Star Wars Night: Saturday, June 13th will feature Star Wars character appearances and the R-Phils will be wearing "Star Wars" tribute jerseys, which will be auctioned and raffled to benefit the United Way.
Lenny Moore Hometown Hero Night: The Fightins celebrate Pro Football Hall of Famer and NFL 100 Greatest of All-Time honoree Lenny Moore on Tuesday, June 16th. The first 1,500 adults will receive a Lenny Moore Hometown Hero Bobblehead, thanks to Essig Plumbing and Heating. Lenny Moore was born in Reading, and attended Reading High School. After a 12-year career with the Baltimore Colts, Moore was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1975.
The Office Night: Popular promotion "The Office Night" returns to FirstEnergy Stadium on Sunday, June 28th with a special guest appearance from "Meredith Palmer" (Kate Flannery). Fans have the option to purchase "Meredith" Pregame VIP Meet & Greet tickets, including a limited-edition "Casual Friday" bobblehead here: A free photo session will also be held from 5:15-6:45 p.m.
Kevin Nash and Scott Hall Wrestling Night: On Wednesday, July 1st, Wrestling Hall of Famers Kevin Nash and Scott Hall will made a special appearance at FirstEnergy Stadium. Kevin Nash/Scott Hall Pregame VIP Meet & Greet tickets are available for purchase, including a limited-edition Nash/Hall double bobblehead:
Veterans and Active Military Tribute: The Fightins will celebrate and honor veterans and active duty military at FirstEnergy Stadium on Thursday, July 2nd, when R-Phils players will wear custom jerseys featuring the names of current and former military members. The first 25 groups who purchase 20 or more tickets to the July 2nd game can choose any veteran or active military member's last name to place on the back of an R-Phils jersey by signing up here: The night will also feature free tickets for all active military and veterans, and a ceremony will take place to honor all who have served prior to the game.
Fightin Cancer Night: The Fightins will lend a hand in the battle against all types of cancer on Wednesday, July 8th, with custom jerseys and an appearance from former Philadelphia Phillie Mickey Morandini on behalf of the Darren Daulton Foundation. The first 25 groups of 20 or more people who purchase tickets to the July 8th game can choose to honor a loved one by having the name of a cancer victim or survivor featured on one of the R-Phils in-game jerseys by signing up here: The first 2,000 adults in attendance will take home a Mickey Morandini Fightin Cancer Bobblehead, thanks to Roland, Rick and Stock Attorneys at Law.
80's Night: The Fightins will hold a tribute to Stranger Things and Ghostbusters on Saturday, July 25th, featuring "Stranger Things" jerseys which will be auctioned and raffled.
Harley Night: Saturday, August 8th is the 23nd annual Harley Night. The first 2,500 adults receive a Fightins Harley Game Cap, presented by Classic Harley-Davidson. There will be a pregame parade of Harleys around the warning track, and the R-Phils will be wearing Harley tribute jerseys which will be auctioned and raffled. Fans will also be treated to post-game fireworks.
Pride Night: On Tuesday, August 25th, the first 1,000 fans receive an R-Phils rainbow lanyard at the 8th Annual LGBTQ+/Reading Pride Celebration.
