ROUND ROCK, Texas – The Texas Rangers announced their minor league award winners for the month of April on Friday morning. Round Rock Express 1B Blaine Crim was named the organization’s Player of the Month while RHP Cole Winn was listed as the Reliever of the Month.

Crim batted .313 (36-115)/.365/.565/.930 with seven home runs, one triple, six doubles, 25 RBI, and 17 runs scored in 28 games through the end of April. He was called up to the big leagues on May 2. He ranked among Pacific Coast League leaders in home runs (T-1st), total bases (2nd, 65), hits (T-3rd), RBI (T-5th), slugging percentage (7th), and OPS (10th) in the first month of the season.

He was named PCL Player of the Week for March 31-April 6, hitting .520 (13-25) with six extra-base hits in a Express’ six-game series against Toledo that week. Crim has now been tabbed as the Rangers Minor League Player of the Month in three consecutive seasons, also earning the distinction in July 2023 and July 2024

Since his Triple-A debut in 2022, the 27-year-old has appeared in 308 games for the E-Train and has owned a slash line of .286/.373/.486/.859 with 71 doubles, eight triples, 49 home runs, 201 RBI, 198 runs scored and 153 walks. In his last game with the Express on Wednesday in Sugar Land, Crim became just the ninth Express player to ever reach 200 RBI. He is one of 16 players to appear in over 300 games for the Express and is ninth in club history in doubles and tied for seventh in home runs.

Winn went 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA (0 ER/17.2 IP) and 18 strikeouts in April. He owned a 0.85 WHIP and a .169 (10-59) opponent batting average in his first eight appearances from March 30-April 26. The right-hander was the only Pacific Coast League pitcher to log 15.0-or-more innings without yielding an earned run through the end of April.

He worked 2.0 innings or more in seven of those eight relief outings and recorded two or more strikeouts in all but one of his March/April appearances. He ranked tied for 10th among PCL relievers in punchouts during the season’s first month.

Winn has yet to allow an earned run in 10 appearances and 21.2 innings of work this season. The right-hander was a first-round selection by Texas in the 2018 MLB Draft from Orange Lutheran (Calif.) High School and was the organization’s Nolan Ryan Minor League Pitcher of the Year in 2021. He made his Major League debut with the Rangers in 2024.

Round Rock and El Paso will get set for game four of their series at Southwest University Park tonight with first pitch scheduled for 7:35 p.m. CT. The Express have not named a starting pitcher while El Paso RHP Jared Kollar (1-3, 7.22) is set to take the mound.
