HARTFORD-
Lambert retired the lead off hitter in all but one inning, walked one and struck out four. He retired the side in order in the ninth inning and set down 12 of the last 13 Curve hitters. The right hander, who threw 102 pitches, even delivered at the plate with an RBI-double in the eighth inning.
Hartford (27-29) pounded out 15 hits to snap a season-high seven-game losing streak.
The Yard Goats never looked back, after taking a 2-0 lead in the first inning on Hilliard's two-run homer. Scoring in every odd inning, the Goats, playing as Los Chivos De Hartford, added two more runs in the third inning on Wall's first Double-A home run and a double play ground out.
Hartford scored two more runs in the fifth and batted around in the seventh to complete the scoring with five runs.
The Yard Goats look for the series' win, when the homestand wraps up Sunday afternoon at 1:05. RHP
