• Jersey Shore’s Kevin Gowdy tossed six no-hit innings, striking out five with one walk in the victory. Gowdy retired the first 12 hitters and pitched one over the minimum. Closer Blake Brown struck out four in two innings for the save.
• The BlueClaws scored three runs against Jose Butto in the fifth inning, scoring on Corbin Williams’ RBI single, Casey Martin’s RBI groundout, and Vito Friscia’s bases-loaded walk to take a 3-0 advantage.
