The first winning roadtrip of 2019 is in the books!
The Bisons defeated the Norfolk Tides, 8-5, in the first game of a scheduled doubleheader on Sunday afternoon from Harbor Park. As rain washed away the scheduled game two, the Herd's shortened roadtrip ended with a 3-2 record.
Buffalo sent 11 men to the plate in a six-run sixth inning that blew the game the teams did play wide open. All seven hits the Herd had in the frame where singles, with
Hanson and Revere combined early in the game to get the Bisons on the scoreboard. Both veterans singled in the first inning and Hanson came around on Lourdes Gurriel Jr.'s sacrifice fly. In the third inning, Hanson walked and scored on Revere's double to center.
The Bisons are off on Monday and will start a six-game homestand against the Gwinnett Stripers on Tuesday at 6:05 p.m. at Sahlen Field.
