Summary
The Senators beat the Reading Fightin Phils 7-4 Wednesday night at First Energy Stadium in Reading. Reading scored two in the second and it took the Sens until the fifth to cut the lead in half. They tallied two in the seventh and four in the eighth for their fourth win in a row.
The Big Play
In the seventh, trailing 2-1 Brady Lindsly drew a one-out walk and then with two outs, Jackson Cluff launched a two-run home run giving the Senators a 3-2 lead.
On Capitol Hill
- Michael Cuevas had his best start of the season, going six innings. He allowed two runs on three hits, with the two runs coming on a home run in the second. He struck out a season-high eight batters.
- Evan Lee earned his second hold with a 1-2-3 seventh inning including two strikeouts.
- Orlando Ribalta allowed two runs on three straight two-out hits. He also struck out two.
- Joel Peguero earned his sixth save on the season allowing two hits but no runs in the ninth inning.
With the Gavel
- Jackson Cluff drove in two with his two-run home run and scored twice.
- Frankie Tostado hit his second grand slam of the season.
- Blake Rutherford had two hits and scored once.
- Robert Hassell III had two hits and drove in a run.
Filibusters
The grand slam by Tostado was the Senators fourth on the season… It was the fourth straight game the Senators have scored at least seven runs… Harrisburg played terrific defense including turning two double plays and throwing a runner out at the plate.
