Today the Myrtle Beach Pelicans announced that they will host a fall kickball league beginning October 27. The five-week league will feature weekly games, either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday from October 27 through the week of November 17 with game times at 6pm, 7pm, and 8pm. The league will take a one-week break for the Thanksgiving holiday with playoffs commencing on December 1. Registration is now open at myrtlebeachpelicans.com. The registration fee is $600 per team with teams being comprised of 11-18 players with a minimum of four female players. The championship team will win a ceremonial first kick and a free 2021 suite night during a Pelicans game (a $750 value). Deadline to register is October 21.
The club also announced today the return of their Disc Golf experience October 20-23 featuring the “Hek Yeh Putter Party” at TicketReturn.Com Field at Pelicans Ballpark. October 20 & 21 will feature glow golf while October 22 & 23 will be played under the lights at Pelicans Ballpark. The “Hek Yeh Putter Party” is a premier disc golf/baseball stadium experience and competition designed for first time and experienced players. Participants have the chance to compete for 18 holes on our 9 hole temporary par 2 course designed in and around the entire ballpark including the playing field. The final hole has competitors teeing off from deep second base toward home plate to an Innova DISCatcher or basket.
Each disc golf night includes a minimum of 10 raffle prizes and cash prizes for the top 30% of the field. Tee times are available for groups of 4 or less (exceptions may be made for families larger than 4) with groups teeing off every 10 minutes. Gates will open each night at 3:30 PM and the event runs until 8PM. The cost to play is $20 per person and includes 2 raffle tickets. Admission is $5 per person for non-players.
Limited concessions will be available. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes as the course will require walking and step navigation (no cleats allowed). Players are permitted to bring their own discs but that is not required as discs will be available on-site.
