The Aces stole one from the Isotopes Wednesday night by a score of 7-6 In Albuquerque. A three-run ninth inning put the Aces ahead by one and Kevin Ginkel was able to close it out for his first victory this season. Marty Herum drove in the tying-runs on a 2-RBI single in the top of the ninth. Juniel Querecuto drove in the winning-run on a ground ball to second base.
The Aces jumped ahead early in this one by a score of 3-1 by the third inning thanks to home runs from Domingo Leyba and Wyatt Mathisen. However, Albuquerque would answer back to take the lead in the bottom of the third with three runs on home runs from Pat Valaika and Roberto Ramos. Valaika would later add his second home run in the seventh inning. The Isotopes would take a 6-4 lead into the ninth but it wasn't enough to hold off Reno. Braden Shipley was solid tonight going five innings allowing four runs while allowing three hits and striking out eight. Kevin Ginkel was dominant in his appearance striking out the side in both the eighth and ninth to pick up his first win in Triple-A. Aceball is back tomorrow at 5:35 p.m. on the road with a starter yet to be announced.

He struck out the side in both innings of relief bringing his season total to 21 in 10.0 IP in Triple-A. Ginkel has 220 strikeouts in 155.2 innings pitched since his Minor League career started in 2016. The righty from San Diego, California is the Diamondbacks' No. 29 prospect according to MLBPipeline.
Comeback Wins: Tonight's victory was the third win this season the Aces won on their final at-bat and their first on the road. The walked-off twice at home this season. Once on April 27 in a 14-13 win over Fresno thanks to a nine-run ninth. And then again on May 17 on a walk-off sacrifice fly from Juniel Querecuto.
