TACOMA, Wash. – The Reno offense was stymied and unable to overcome an early deficit from the long ball on Friday night, falling to Tacoma, 6-1, in game four of the series.

The Aces (21-22, 53-65) fell behind early after Connor Joe launched a solo home run in the second and Lazaro Montes connected for a two-run shot in the third.

Tacoma (19-24, 52-66) tacked on three more in the fifth headlined by a Ryan Bliss solo homer, their third home run of the night.

The 5-0 lead was more than enough run support for Gabe Mosser (7-5) as he cruised through six scoreless frames before surrendering Reno’s only run in the seventh.

The Aces struggled offensively, recording only three hits in the loss as Kristian Robinson, Manuel Pena, and Danny Serretti each recorded singles. Jose Fernandez drove in the lone run of the game on an RBI groundout. The game snaps Reno’s nine-game streak of hitting at least one home run.

On the pitching side, Ashton Izzi (0-2) gave up six runs in five innings of work. Dylan Ray and Spencer Giesting combined for three scoreless frames the rest of the way.

Reno will look to bounce back in game five of the series at Tacoma on Saturday at 6:05 p.m. PT.
