RENO, Nev. – Following a two-week road trip to Round Rock and Oklahoma City, the Reno Aces (30–33) return to Greater Nevada Field to host the Sugar Land Space Cowboys (34–28), the Triple-A affiliate of the Houston Astros, in a six-game series beginning Tuesday, June 10. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. PST.
The Aces and Space Cowboys previously met earlier this season in Sugar Land, where the Space Cowboys swept the six-game series during Reno’s toughest stretch of the year. Sugar Land enters this series coming off a home loss to the Sacramento River Cats, having dropped four of six games.
Sugar Land currently sits in third place in the Pacific Coast League with a 15–15 record on the road, while Reno is tied for fifth with a 16–14 mark at GNF.
Notable players on Sugar Land’s roster include RHP AJ Blubaugh and INF Jesús Bastidas.
Blubaugh, a former seventh-round pick in the 2022 MLB Draft, performed well against Reno in their previous meeting, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks over six innings with six strikeouts to earn the win. The 24-year-old excelled in 2024, leading the PCL with 12 wins and posting a 3.83 ERA with 128 strikeouts across 124 2/3 innings. However, he has struggled this season, recording a 6.61 ERA with 50 strikeouts and 30 walks over 47 2/3 innings. Blubaugh will look to regain form this week against the Aces.
Bastidas, a 26-year-old infielder from Venezuela, was a key offensive contributor in last week’s series against the River Cats, going 7-for-18 (.389) with three doubles, five RBI, and four walks while extending his hitting streak to six games. He also produced against the Aces earlier this season, going 5-for-20 (.250) with two doubles, one home run, and three RBI in six games. After a slow start to the year, Bastidas is heating up at the plate — a player Reno’s pitchers will need to contain.
Tie game courtesy of, you guessed it, Tristin English 👏

As for the Aces, Tristin English has been on fire at the plate. During the recent two-week road trip, the 28-year-old went 17-for-43 (.395) with six doubles, one home run, and 14 RBI. He’s started June strong, riding a six-game hitting streak while going 10-for-24 (.417) with three doubles, one home run, and 10 RBI. The Georgia Tech product has also swung the bat well at GNF this season, hitting .290/.372/.406 with five doubles, one home run, and 10 RBI in 18 games.
The six-game series kicks off Tuesday, June 10, with first pitch set for 6:35 p.m. PST.
