RENO, Nev. – The Reno Aces (30-33) showed their resilience in a tough series against the Tacoma Rainiers (34-29) this past week at Cheney Stadium despite losing four out of six games. Reno now owns a 7-11 record vs Tacoma this season.

Reno’s first win came in Thursday’s tight 4-3 victory, driven by clutch 2-out production by Geraldo Perdomo and Tristin English. Down by one run in the seventh, Perdomo stepped up with 2-outs, with Bryson Brigman awaiting on second. The switch-hitter came through for his team, roping a line drive to right field and driving in the tying run. English would later dig in in the eighth inning in a similar situation, with 2-outs and runners in scoring position. The 27-year-old delivered an RBI single up the middle to give the Aces the lead they needed to come away with a win.

The BLC-Nine obtained their second win in Sunday’s series finale. A pair of clutch home runs from Andres Chaparro and Adrian Del Castillo were the main contributors to the win. Down by three runs in the sixth inning, Chaparro got a hold of a Michael Mariot slider and roped a two-run, 401-foot bomb over the left-center field porch to spark the Aces offense and get his team into a position to win.

The following inning, red-hot Del Castillo stepped into the box in a 2-out, runner-in-scoring position situation. The backstop lifted a no-doubt 410-foot bomb in right-center to give the Aces a two-run lead, ultimately leading Reno to victory.

Deyvison De Los Santos, a rising star in the Aces lineup, enjoyed a fantastic road trip, going 9-for-22 (.401) with two doubles, two home runs, and four RBI. Notably, the 20-year-old collected two home runs and three RBI in Saturday’s 9-6 loss. De Los Santos has been a key contributor in 18 games since joining Reno, slashing .329/.382/.571 with 10 extra-base hits (three home runs), 14 RBI, and six BB in 76 plate appearances.
